Introduction

The Dates & Deadlines section allows you to select the desired Time Zone for your regatta and set dates for registration to open and close. You can set Early, Standard and Late Registration Periods. You can also set due dates for Line-ups, Payment and Waivers, if necessary. Please note that payment and waiver deadlines are not hard deadlines. Users will still be able to submit waivers and payments after the dates listed.

Deadline Groups - this feature allows regatta admin to set different dates & times to open and close registration for groups of events. For example, a multi-day regatta with events on Saturday and Sunday could keep registration open for the Sunday events longer than the Saturday events. 

Note: This page is for regatta organizers who have staff access to their regatta.

Creating a Deadline Group

  1. Go to RegattaCentral and log in
  2. Click the 'Overview' link underneath the regatta in your Regatta Calendar & Entries box on the left side of your homepage
  3. Go to the 'Dates & Deadlines' page located under the Registrations header in the navigation bar on the left (outlined in RED below)
  4. Click 'change' next to the Timezone to make any necessary changes (outlined in GREEN above)
    1. Select the timezone from the drop down menu and click the OK button
  5. Click the Create Deadline Group button to access the pop-up editor (outline in ORANGE above)
     
  6. The Title will default to 'Standard'
    1. If you only need to create one (1) Deadline Group, do not change the Title
    2. If you need to create more than one (1) Deadline Group, change the Title to a descriptor of the Group
      1. for example, Singles, Sweep, Masters
  7. Registration Periods - outlined in GREEN
    1. Early Registration - optional
      1. If the regatta has an Early Registration Period, select Yes in the drop down
      2. select the Start and End Dates & Times for the Early Registration Period
      3. NOTE: If entry fees are discounted during this period, you will need to enter the amount of the discount in the Early Discount attribute for each event
    2. Standard Registration - required
      1. You must select the Start and End Dates & Times for the Standard Registration Period
    3. Late Registration - optional
      1. If the regatta has an Late Registration Period, select Yes in the drop down
      2. select the Start and End Dates & Times for the Late Registration Period
      3. NOTE: If a late fee should be charged during this period, you will need to enter the additional fee in the Late Fee attribute for each event
    4. General Settings - outlined in ORANGE
      1. Line-Ups Due, Payment Due and Waiver Due - optional
        1. Select the Due Date & Time for each setting you would like displayed on the Dates & Deadlines page
      2. Display Entries
        1. Select 'Immediately'  if you would like entries to be displayed to the public as they are submitted
        2. Select 'Later' if you would like to hide entries until a certain date
          1. Select a date & time to 'Display Entries'
    5. Events - outlined in RED
      1. If the Registration Periods and General Settings dates you have entered apply to all events, make sure all Events checked (check the box at the top of the list of Events to select all)
      2. If not, only check the Events that are associated with the dates and deadlines for this particular Deadline Group
      3. NOTE: Events cannot be associated with more than one Deadline Group
  8. Click the 'Save' button
  9. If you need to create another Deadline Group, complete steps 5 - 8 as needed
